Bonnie Baskin PhD
Bonita L. Baskin, Ph.D., is the Founder and President of the Board of the Science Mill, an innovative science museum in Johnson City, Texas. She is a career scientist and business entrepreneur who founded and served as CEO for two successful life science companies — which she led to acquisitions by large public corporations. Her many honors and recognitions include “Entrepreneur of the Year/Minnesota and Dakotas” award, a 2012 inductee of the University of Minnesota YMCA Hall of Fame and recently inducted into the International Women’s Forum and the Texas Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area Board. She has also been featured in several book chapters — Bootstrap to Billions, Proven Rules from Entrepreneurs who Built Great Companies from Scratch; Dileep Rao, author 2009 and How they Did It, Billion Dollar Insights from the Heart of America, Robert Jordan, author 2010. Most recently, Dr. Baskin has been awarded the Association For Women in Science-Gulf Coast Houston’s award for Outstanding Women in Science 2018 and he John Covert Watson Award for Vision 2017.
